As I look back over the last year, I see two versions of myself. Prior to rebranding, I was unsure as to which course of action to take, and unhappy with life. Let’s call prior to rebranding, Cal for differentiation from Calli Reynaga, budding director.
Looking at content writing Cal, and Calli Reynaga, Creative Director, life is much better as a director. The fact that my company and job has changed allows me to be the most authentic version of myself. I am reaching my potential with EVOLVEOS as opposed to EVOLVE OS. Minor changes resulting in a huge impact.
I see the thing that was most consistent with any success I’ve achieved was that the effort I espoused has been massive action. 2 mentors spoke life into my business which led to massive action. Massively different action is how it went down for me.
I’m reading a book, the 10X Rule, “In order to get to the next level of whatever you’re doing, you must think and act in a wildly different way than you previously have been. You cannot get to the next phase of a project without a grander mindset, more acceleration, and extra horsepower.”
This is so true. I’ve been misunderstood by friends and family because they don’t see my vision. In my mind the path is very clear. I have a coach, strategist, team, and my vision.
I won’t be happy until I succeed.
I started seeing things differently and focusing my energy on work related things. Instead of writing, I began working on larger projects, delegating tasks, adding team members, and consulting with clients.
But the changes are not just work related tasks, the difference is my mindset.

It has been more than a year since I set my personal goal to move out of the Valley. I still have the penned piece of paper. I will be moving on my own to another state to run my business, continue education in some form, and have a new life. I’m ready for the next chapter.
Only I know my true potential; no one else can judge.
What I know is, I’m still walking. I’m doing my best to keep up with the entrepreneurs in Silicon Valley, but we are not doing the same thing. It struck me as odd, that I tried to conform to their world.
When I adopted a new mindset, acquired a business coach, a strategist, a team, and new clients, work turned into new opportunities. EVOLVEOS Agency was reborn. When it became clear my agency was narrower than other content agencies, we rebranded as a personal branding agency.
The change I’ve seen is in me. It has been here the whole time, but I have my spark back. My desire to help, guide, and see measured results, or to have something measurably better than the point of origin.
“Remember: Success is the degree or measure of attaining some desired object or end. Once you attain this desired end, the issue then becomes whether you can maintain, multiply, and repeat your actions in order to sustain that result.”
Isn’t that the best description of success? I’m happy to pick up the pace and breathe success. “An interesting thing about success is that it’s like a breath of air; although your last breath of air is important, it’s not nearly as important as the next one.”
I am confident that personal branding is an influencing factor and key reason that enable effective CEOs to ascend and progress towards creating a strong executive engagement with others. Do you have it? You know, the “It” status—that winning combination of people skills, communication, and influence over followers and fans. Is your reputation present when you’ve left the room? We call this “executive engagement.”
Do I have it? I’ve only been a CEO for short time. Last year (confused a lot of people), I took the title CEM. Chief Executive Manager. I didn’t feel ready for such a big title or role as CEO. What was this last year like as a manager? It groomed me for CEO, Creative Director position at my agency.
To give you a short recap 2014, I started EVOLVE OS, LLC as a small business consulting firm. I had to take off 9 months for personal time and family. When I got back to my business in 2015 things were different. Outsiders unintentionally influenced my opinion of how to run my company and what should be our core competencies. Startup folk saw a need for my writing skills. With web content writing experience, I decided to change to a content marketing agency. In doing so, I gained insight to a new industry, tech and startup world, but I lost a little bit of myself. My desire to help people was masked with a new desire to make more money. I started 2015, as CEM, a copywriter, and project manager. I was unfulfilled, doing work people weren’t connecting with. But I did one thing awesome; I started attending meetups like crazy. I attended so many at Innowest, and in Silicon Valley.
The thing that helped me find clients and build a strong professional network was Partner for Leads. I met a crew of 10-12 people who invested in me with their time and talent. I found a safe place with new power partners and a few mentors. Jason, sticks out as one of them. He made it an effort to welcome me, we shared common interests: martial arts, and I was imbibing his knowledge each time we spoke. He gave me a chance to work with him, and stuck out his neck for me. Maria also helped me, as did the opportunity I was given to present my company. After hearing my presentation, Maria scooted a few clients my way. One is now my superstar client.
Up until this point, I did not have it. But since repositioning my business as a personal branding agency things have been exceptional. In a short time, we finished the logo, new website, and business cards. Now on these batch of cards, I did not downplay my new position. I decided to go big and aim to fill the shoes, Calli Reynaga, CEO, Creative Director of EVOLVEOS, LLC. Agency. But call me Calli and my company is recognizable as EVOLVEOS Agency.
In the last six months, I’ve seen firsthand the power of a solid network, and a business idea that is validated. I didn’t enjoy PR, or Content Writing enough to make it my sole income or primary activity.
My love for helping people express their thoughts, ideas, and occupation through marketing and branding is real. The power of communication and symbols are the foundation of personal brand development, but are the not the sum total of it all. It gets me excited, motivated to grow and help others. I have earned the title CEO, Creative Director. I embrace the title and the responsibilities and expectations. I’m excited to see the next set of challenges. Visit EVOLVEOS Agency.
